In the March, 1946 issue of Nyoka peril comes at the famous jungle girl from all directions -- from an elephant stampede, to being offered as human sacrifice to an angry volcano god, to falling down and spraining an ankle. The basic plot is a fantasy tale involving a search for a "peace" plant which when imbibed makes the recipients have an irresistable urge for friendship . . . such as a lion and a leopard kissing each other. A professor from the states leads the search, but is thwarted several times by an unscrupulous German (no doubt an ex-Nazi since the war ended in '45) who causes the elephants to stampede, then shoots at the professor, but misses, then masquerades as a witch doctor and fraudulently points to Nyoka as the reason the volcano is erupting causing the chief to have her grabbed and offered as a human sacrifice. In the end she escapes all these perils, with a lot of help from Larry, and the baddy gets his just reward. Pics below show her using an explosion to deter the elephant stampede, but knocking herself out in the process. ALso pics of her being offered up on a stretcher to the volcano god. And another pic of her running, falling and spraining her ankle, allowing Larry to arm carry her to safety. Much, much fun from this champion of distress. Enjoy!
