This depiction of Mary Marvel in bondage is quite rare -- after, Fawcett made her more invincible than even DC's Supergirl. But the scene is greatly diminished in quality because any speck of "sexiness" in the superheroine is carefully removed. Fawcett was quite inconsistent with this. See cover of #1, #71 and #89 (she's a lot more sexy in those pics). This is another example of what I call a publisher being "skittish"
