Wonder Woman's face is so pretty here as she lies knocked out. Who would believe a story like this could be told in one page, have her get knocked out, then capture the crooks?
This is an Advertisement Page . . . and clearly shows us in as few words as possible how important Damsel-in-Distress art is to the comic book reader. If Hostess Twinkies Ad Agency understands this concept, why do the professionals who edit and publish comic books so often fail to understand it. One of life's great mysteries!!
Back in the 70's, DC had their house artists create a whole bunch of these Hostess Twinkees ads...great fun! Can you even IMAGINE a modern comic book publisher getting a major character to pitch junk food now? The problem with modern comics in a nutshell..they take themselves too seriously!Cool post, thanks!
