Wonder Woman is hit in the head by some robot who works for Darkseid. Nice unconscious shot there. They take here away and then they put her through somekind of torture from which she escapes.
This was done during the John Byrne era. I think he did Wonder Woman from numbers 100 to 130 or so. He had awesome instincts because he knew what the reader wanted to see. Unfortunately he was never her greatest depictor even though he came close many, many times. The unconscious scene on the third page could have been better rendered if she had more "flesh on her bones" --- she looks a tad anemic and skinny here. Still the concept is A+++ here.
This is also from Byrne's later work where he insisted on inking himself. Unfortunately, he is at best a mediocre inker. Compared to his run on X-Men, where Terry Austin and others were inking him, the results are not nearly as good.
John Byrne can create great stories, I think he was a best artist at the time eh did Man Of Steel. His Wonder Woman here is not very good, very skinny at times, like the last page shown here.
