A crooked jungle guide was banished by Sheena years ago, and now he returns to Sheena's domain for revenge. He stirs up a gorilla worshiping tribe to attack Sheena and her mate. In the attack a bullet grazes Sheena's head and knocks her out. Her mate Bob is taken prisoner. Sheena is left for dead, but she wakes up and pursues the baddie. This time she prevails. Pics below show her grazed by the bullet, unconscious on the ground, and waking up. There are also a few interesting pics from another story in this same issue of Jumbo. These pics are of "Velvet", the Hawk's girl friend, who is kidnapped by some pirates and held for ransom. Jumbo #159 was published in 1952, just eight months before the end of this long running, ground-breaking series due to public pressure at the time from those who believed Frederick Wetham's grossly exaggerated allegations in his book "Seduction of the Innocent". With this issue, Fiction House seemed Hell-bent on going out with a bang . . good for them and more fun for us 60 years later!!
