In Dragonfly #7 the winged blue superheroine faces two perils simoultaneously, Psiborg, the robotic nemesis she met in issue #1 and a new super-villain called Kuromoko who appears to be an evil black shadow-spirit who has the spirit power of 1000 souls and can teleport people and objects anywhere in the universe simply by thinking about it. Psiborg is more dangerous, however, because he is Nancy's (aka Dragonfly) romantic interest and he eventually will betray that love and kill her by betraying that love -- or at least the story is told so as to make it appear that he did it, even if we don't actually see it happen. A story in some future issue appears to be intended to resolve this mystery. In the pics below, Dragonfly is teleported to the bottom of a lake somewhere and choked by Kuromoko then teleported to a waiting room somewhere on an strange, alien planet. With help from Psiborg (aka Ken, Nancy's beau), she escapes and returns to Nancy's home on earth, where she quickly changes into Nancy's body, only to be treacherously incinerated with a powerful laser beam and become a pile of bones and ashes. The story ends leaving the reader on his own to decide if Ken (the boyfriend) did this or Kuromoko -- the Satanic dark spirit. The next issue will let the reader see that although Nancy is dead, Dragonfly lives on in a kind of spirit limbo-world. Again, future issues seem to be planned to resolve this, but #8 is her final book, so a lot of this is never resolved. Pics below show Dragonfly choked by Kuromoko and teleported to his kingdom.
