If a free-lance artist like M. Hunt can casually offer up a great looking scene like this, why do you suppose DC or Marvel have such a hard time doing the same thing . . . they do come through mnow and then, as we all know, but this Supergirl scene is top shelf, and wouldn't you think the big comic book publishers would realize how many books they'd sell if scenes like this appeared in every issue, which obviously is not the case.
Well the thing is, that back in the 60,70's,80's there were so much more covers with these "dramatic" scenarios. You could almost bet on it for every issue to have one of these. For fun, go through the old JLA issues. Not sure why they stopped doing that. I assume that from a business perspective it must have made more sense to do "other" covers. These day, pin up covers are more popular.
Anyway, I totally agree. take me back to the old cover days pls :)
