Fantastic Four v1 #124

Categories Chloroform

The Monster from the Lost Lagoon chloroforms Sue Storm, in what is one of the most classic scenes of all time. There is even a great cover scene!

Invisible Woman is waiting in a hospital for Reed, when she is suddenly attacked by the Lagoon monster. The monster uses chloroform on Sue Storm, and she is unable to turn invisible.

She wakes up in a dark cave.

If only it were shown better, this might have been the best KO scene of all time, it is Sue Storm after all.

Agreed! The carry depiction is not very good.

This is one of my favorites! I snapped up this comic when it first came out, way back in 1972! I was eleven at the time. I really loved that chloroform scene (even if it could have been done better, as the previous twoposters have mentioned)! Fantastic!

Every panel is a classic. If there were more panels between the two pages this would be an all time classic.

Holding the cloth away from her sleeping face would be a great panal. If only more heroines would say [someone put me to sleep.]like her or the black widow.

This is probably one of my top 10 Fantastic Four issues. I wish Marvel would find some other 1950's and 60's film monsters to abduct gorgeous Sue. Photo #2 shows us a very lovely Sue Storm, as well as the cover art. I do not have a scanner or I would upload some other super Sue scenes from this issue. There is a real cliffhanger at the end of this issue where Sue is drowning.
