Fight Comics #31

Categories Arm CarryDrowningHead KOWake Up

Senorita Rio, the cute Latin spy, gets ko'd, carried and dropped in the river by Nazi agents. The cover to this issue was infamous, cited by Fredrick Wertham as an indication that comics promoted de-sensatation to violence..judge for yourselves!

I don't get panel #5...this doesn't seem to be related to 'Rio' at all. Plus, there's no 'Babe'.

Hey Buckley555
Not at all related to the scene...the cover is historically important, imho, because it was cited by Wertham and later the Keefaufer (Sp?) Senate Hearings into violent images in comic books. Stuff like this directly led to the Comics Code...I wanted to present this to point out that, at least sometimes, publishers DID go too far to sell books. Sorry for any confusion!

Her mouth with a gag over it showing her in that sexy dress with a close uo of her pretty hands tightly bound is a smoldering hot image.Beautiful eyes shine widely a this damsel is the most under rated in comics history.
