'Babe' was a hillbilly mountain girl who was also the strongest being in the world. While certainly modeled on Al Capp's 'Little Abner' strip, artist/writer Boody Rogers had a very unique style. Here, Babe is knocked out and dragged off by a revived caveman.
Note the star on the cover with the 'conforms to the Comics Code' statement. In 1949 the Code was(an always was, at least officially) entirely voluntary..only later would Congress start to pressure retailers to ONLY stock Code-Approved books.
