Avengers #116

Categories Arm CarryBlastPerilUnconscious

From Avengers, Volume 1, Issue #116 (Marvel, October 1973) -- the Scarlet Witch is KOed by, of all things, a volcanic eruption accidentally triggered by the Silver Surfer! While the Vision and Surfer battle it out, two enterprising natives decide to offer the sexy, helpless avenger to the volcano god; a rare two-person carry is shown (you don't see so many of these in the comics).

Wanda is placed right in the path of an oncoming lava flow. The Vision barely has time to rescue his beloved, and the Silver Surfer absconds with the "Evil Eye"! Not that we care so much, since we are treated to a very nice "flying cradle-carry" as the Vision transports the unconscious sorceress to safety.

I was twelve years old when I bought this comic, and I have always loved this scene! The only reason it gets only four stars for me, and not five, is the fact that the KO itself is shown in a long-distance view, so the Scarlet Witch's fantastic form is fairly miniscule within the panel.

Never saw this before. Great scenes of an unconscious Scarlett Witch, good carries. She's got a great pair of legs.
