Huntress is being restrained by her enemy. After some lecture by another villain, the enemy behind her hits her in the head. Apparently she's unconscious when they take her to the car outside, because one of them comments about her waking up later.
Now, this scene is just not very satisfying. That blow to the head at the bottom of the first page could have been so much better. She appears to be standing on her own while being taken to the van, and then she passes out -- delayed reaction, or am I just missing something? Not really horrible, but the art could have been tweaked a bit to make this KO a lot more comprehensible!
This is one of the really great Huntress stories from 20 or so years ago. How wonderful it is when a sexy superheroine is slapped into submission and manhandled by bullies for 14 or 15 scenes or so. Very exciting. But would have been 100 times better if not done in "dark art" mode, too shadowy and hard to see. Also more full body shots would have heightened interest, especially in the blow from behind scene and the captivity scene in back of the van. Still, the idea of her being weakened yet still able to walk while being manhandled is relatively rare in superheroine history, that's what makes this series special.
This is pretty cool. I especially like how the poetry-spouting bad guy treats Huntress so patronisingly. Speaking about her to his partner as though she's not present even while they're leading her into the ruined building. Makes you yearn for her to bust free and kick ass. I also love how she's shoved into the back of the van.
