You said it! Huntress would definitely be the most popular girl in the nut house! In the eyes of the male patients, that is!
Part of me wonders what would've happened if she'd managed to get away while the alarm was blaring! If nothing else then it would be fun to see her running around Gotham in the straitjacket, trying to persuade someone to untie her!
I also like to imagine that she was kept kneeling on the floor while Lucinda (the nutty nurse) counted all the way up to the key for Room Two-Sixty! *laughs evilly* Just wish we could've seen more of Lucinda!
Hi Buckley . . . I checked GCD for you and the writer was Joey Cavilieri. Here's what Wikipedia had to say about Joey:
His writing credits include The Huntress, The Oz-Wonderland War, The Flash, and World's Finest Comics series, all from DC. He first joined DC full-time in 1982 after working three years as a freelancer. He was group editor of the Marvel 2099 series from 1992 until 1996 before returning to DC.[citation needed] Cavalieri also created the story for "Beaten by a Club," the second story of Issue #4: "Rocko Gets Night Clubbed!" of Rocko's Modern Life.
He has been recognized for his work with nominations for the Comics Buyer's Guide Fan Award for Favorite Editor every year from 1997 through 2000, and again from 2002 to 2004. In 2005, DC promoted him to Senior Editor.
He also teaches cartooning classes at the School of Visual Arts.[1]
Sounds to me as though he had lots of talent and finally got recognized for it by his peers and by DC. He deserved everything he got . . . his Huntress stories were top shelf!!
Thank you for taking the time to research this, Paul. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this. Amazing that this guy found a way to support himself doing his 'kink'. Just good, lusty fun here. So blissful!
