I'm not sure who wrote this series of back up stories in Wonder Woman #289 to 320 or so, but this writer of superheroine stories is one of the best ever. In story after story this sexy crimefighter is manhandled, trapped, subdued and overpowered. Still she fights back -- gotta love it.
Nine months ago I wrote that I was not sure who wrote the great Huntress stories back in 1982. Today I found out, it was Paul Levitz who at that time was only 26 years old, and who years later would rise to become President of DC comics (2002-2009). Somehow I always sensed that the Huntress stories were way above average . . . way above . . . and now I know why.
FYI, Paul Levitz also CREATED the Silver Age Huntress with Joe Staton.
Love the elaborate concept of her predicament, but it's a shame he didn't dress her in her costume while she was unconscious. Would've loved to see her chained up in costume.
