The Mighty Crusaders #8 was published by Archie Comics in the early 60's. It was A C's attempt to get in on the "superhero" genre of comic books so prevalent for 20 plus years prior to that time. I always liked Fly Girl, who was an early addition to the Fly Man series. In Mighty Crusaders, she is one of their members, kind of like Black Canary or Wonder Woman are members of the Justice Society of America. In this issue the Crusaders are battling some invader from outer space who manage to zap Fly Girl and send her floating into empty space. Fly Man flies out to rescue her and carries her back home, where she recovers quickly and puts a mighty wallop on one of the female members of the invading army in the pages that follow. I've always thought she looked quite good considering this is Archie Comics and the comic book code is in full effect.
