Bulletgirl in Master Comics #28 body slam, OTS

Categories Physical KO

Bulletgirl appeared very early in Bulletman's career and made a welcome addition to his super powered crime fighting team -- especially in the "looks" department. She first appeared with her super-powered love interest in issue #13 of Master Comics (1941) and then ran continually as his sidekick and partner to #106 (1949). Recently I was able to download about 2/3's of these hard-to-find issues from GACD (the rest are still missing from their collection and are actively being sought now) and read all of her great stories to my heart's content. I'm now attempting to share some of my good fortune with the rest of you sympaticos. In #28 she and her beau -- Jim Barr (aka Bulletman) -- fight a rather goofy criminal named the "Bouncer" -- a short, fat guy who invents springs for his feet so he can bounce over the penitentiary walls where he is incarcerated for stealing $100,000 (which was never found). In an early attempt to capture him he bounces into Bulletgirl and body slams her to a wall, knocking her senseless. He carries her over his shoulder to a hideaway, but is found by Bulletman who rescues his pretty partner, and the two go back for a return match, which they finally win. Pics below show the body slam, the OTS carry, and her unconscious in Bulletman's arms as he rescues her. Sorry about the blurry nature of the pics, these came from a microfiche copy -- and a poor one at that -- archived on Golden Age Comics Download.

Good find. Bulletgirl is always exciting to see even if the pics are somewhat blurry. Thanks for posting this.
