Isn't her real name "Star Spangled Kid", not Stargirl. . . . not real sure but I think it is. . . and she is the 2nd such "Kid", because the first one in the golden age era was a guy. Anybody out there sure about this?

She started out as spar-spangled kid but when Starman retired he gave her his staff and she was then Stargirl. moot point anyway cause in the new 52 she's not in continuity.
