Is it just me or do MANY of these manga images come disturbingly close to being Kiddie Porn? I realize that in Japan the age of consent is 13, or somthing like that, but maybe a "Caution;Young Damsel" warning is warrented for some of them..

@gilslug I understand your concern and I'm trying to strike some sort of balance. If you think about it, the entire concept of Sleepycomics.com can be considered disturbing.

I like sleepy scenes...period. I am not interested in nudity or sex scenes. I'm starting to censor stuff more often as you probably noticed.

Manga is going to be a significant source of content for Sleepycomics.com, because Western comics are simply not delivering enough new material.

@mudsy- Could you legally sell 'lolicon' in the United States? because from what I've seen, this stuff would get a retailer arrested in some states...just curious..

I've heard of some legal troubles people have gotten into, but it's a legal grey area.

Because these are *drawings*. It's art. No one is being harmed by them.

What's NOT protected by free speech in the U.S. is "obscenity". The question then you have to ask yourself is: is drawing of a girl getting kidnapped considered 'obscene'? I do not think it is.

...and I DO appreciate the efforts you put into the site, dude, I really do...also, admittedly, not a big fan of manga of any sort, so I plead almost complete ignorance of its' many subgenres..
However (and I'm not trying to be the wet blanket here) images of young children being forced into ANY non-consensual situations are not only not cool, but risk a lot of unwanted attention. My advice, Red, would be..if there's even a QUESTION...don't post it!

@gilslug Running this site has taught me that you can't please everybody. Some people like comics, some like manga...and some even like this stuff.

Thank you for your support over the years, I know you're one of the earliest users.

But I have to disagree. I truly believe in non-obscene free speech. If you look at American comics, there is some truly violent and sick stuff being published every month. Ever seen a comic called "Crossed"?

I do not think this site even approaches the depravity seen elsewhere on the internet.

I thank you for you concern and advice. I DO in fact skip scenes if the person is really young. I've skipped a lot. And this e-hentai phase I am going through is going to pass really soon. I'm just scraping the bottom of the barrel at that site.

The truth is, there is a lot of junk on this site. But I try not to be the judge...if you like it, give it 5 stars. If you hate it, just move on.
