I believe this is from a British comic. Two scenes here featuring the jungle girl heroine "Sarvane":
* Sarvane gets suffocated by some mud/sand creature. I don't know how to describe it. Her male companion tries to revive her.
* Sarvane gets swarmed by some bats, rendering her unconscious. It's worth reading the comic text.
