Their last encounter ended with Mother Night (Susan Scarbo) unconscious and stripped of parts of her costume (Captain America #409), but the escape of Diamondback (Rachel Leighton) runs into trouble when she stumbles into a big battle involving Captain America.

The villainous Mother Night has apparently recovered, and takes the fight to Diamondback. The result ends up being much the same, as Diamondback effortlessly knocks Mother Night unconscious yet again. Diamondback carries the villainess to a nearby transport plane, where Mother Night's arms are tied behind her back.
