In the followup scene, the reveal is made why WW's brother is beating her. WW needs to be unconscious so the Dark Gods will take her to their subconscious where WW and her brother can defeat them. To be more convincing they use a sleep spell on WW (not shown). She wakes up a bit groggy. Wonder Woman is dragged and shown limp for a bit too.

Hawkgirl is also unconscious on a few panels.
