Secret Six #14

A kind of disappointing end to the Wonder Woman crossover with the Secret Six. Wonder woman is in the "disorientation chamber" at the new Devil's Island prison, and is threatened by Grendel, an actual devil who the prison warden hopes to keep in thrall. Later on, Wonder Woman shows up out of the blue and snaps Grendel's neck from behind. No explanation is given of how she got out of the disorientation chamber.

I was hoping to see Artemis and the other renegade Amazons bust in break Wonder Woman out of the disorientation room, just because it would be a fun way to turn the tables on Diana always being right and Artemis always being in the wrong. But, no.

On the other hand, the preceding issues had some of the best scenes in recent memory, so I guess I can't complain too much.
