JC rescues an Amazon girl who gratefully takes him back to her city. But the Amazons want to keep him, so Dejah Thoris has to come and rescue him. She is wounded near the end, but luckily is revived by the local Goddess. This should have been a classic, but - apart from the cover - it didn't work for me.

The cover depicts Dejah Thoris in a rather perilous situation. I initially thought she was unconscious. Spoiler alert: The final pages depict the death of a character, Linea. Yes, it is technically a death scene, but I felt the art and posing were good.

Marvel Girl (Jean Grey) is drowned by Lord Attuma. She wakes up in Atlantis, wearing Atlantian clothing. Jean tries to escape, but she's choked unconscious while underwater. Beast manages to rescue her. Lots of unconscious shots of Jean Grey!
