As comic book publishers go, Magazine Enterprises had a fairly short-lived run, lasting from 1944 to 1956, and falling on hard times soon after the onset of the Comic Book Code. Ironically, I consider Black Phantom #1, which came out in 1954, the very year the troublesome code went into effect, (special note: no numb...
Here, Kaanga's normally passive mate Ann gets proactive for once, investigating some undersea ruins. Of course, sinister divers almost drown the jungle beauty until Kaanga rescues her. I've also thrown in a nice KO from another story in the same issue.

Camilla back up story in Kaanga #15. Not one of her regular artists, but he does a good job drawing the character...wish he had done more Camilla stories!

Just adding to the current scene... the issue also contains:
-Sandra Knight being knocked out w/ a punch + carried OTS + Arm carried (lots of unconsciousness, in other words)
-A bondage trap: PL steps through a window and into a rope noose. The rope is pulled, sending our heroine into the air. She swings around for...
A peril packed issue for our heroine. "Bullets for Ballots" contains two of the great "manhandling" scenes that make the series so sexy (one even has a great "ohhh"). Meanwhile, in "Ace of Spades," Phantom Lady is knocked out, dragged, and tied up by some cowboy guy.
