It's been more than 3 years since Sleepycomics.com was created, and it's still going strong. As of right now I don't foresee myself stopping but it's hard to predict the future. Who knows what could happen in a year or two. I'm always afraid that if I got into a terrible accident or something, no one would be left to take care of Sleepycomics.com!!

Oh well, let's not try to think about negative things. I'm a very cautious person anyway!

I think more at risk, is me losing interest in running this site. It's possible that one day I could just "lose" this fetish. It hasn't happened yet though, in fact I think it's becoming more hardwired in me.

I sometimes worry about a government shutdown of this site (either for copyright reasons or for containing sexual content), but that's becoming less of an issue. I guess I'm just paranoid. This site hardly even turns up in Google searches!! There are waaayy worse sites out there anyway.

Finally, I could hit the problem of comic book saturation. Basically this means we have searched every promising comic and manga, and there is no more stuff to find except for new issues. I doubt we will reach this point for several more years, because comic/manga issues number in the millions.

What do you guys think? Will Sleepycomics.com continue indefinitely, or will it one day come to a stop?

I don't really see the government shutting this down, they have better things to do (I hope). Not to mention that most people don't even know this fetish exists.

Long live SleepyComics!

A wise man once said "Anything is possible", so I won't say you couldn't lose this fantasy, Red, but I've lived more than 1/2 a century and had it since I was 6 years old. If I'm any example, you'll have the fantasy your whole life. That doesn't mean you'll want to manage a website like sleepycomics all that time, but the lure of your sleep fanatasy is not likely to ever fade away.

I am not so sure that most people don't know this fetish exists. If they don't they must have had their heads under a rock when Frederick Wertham wrote his landmark book "Seduction of the Innocent" back in the early 50's. Congressional hearings were even scheduled on the subject. Wertham used examples of Sheena, Rulah, Phantom Lady and Wonder Woman to show that these pictures were sexually suggestive, and seducing young men. Millions read his book and appeared to agree with him at the time. The comic book code was invented with its front cover seal of approval to show as a sign that the contents of this comic book were not "seducing the innocent". Fortunately the impact of that way of thinking has greatly subsided since 1950. With Playboy, and other even more explicit magazines on the open market the public's eye of comic books seems to have become more benign. The modern notion held by many is "whatever turns you on is OK". I personally do not agree with that because it can easily go too far . . . menage e trois for example, or child porn, or worse -- I simply believe these things are wrong. Whatever turns you on is not my viewpoint. But I do see no harm in sleepycomics. It's analogous to drugs. Marijuana may be benign, but if it leads to coke and crack it's bad. If it doesn't, then, in and of itself, it's OK. I honestly do not believe sleepy comic book fantasies lead to any thing stronger, and therefore more objectionable, at least it never did for me, a husband and father of three. It's a pleasurable and stimulating pastime, nothing more. But trust me, a lot of people know it exists, how could they not. And as for keeping this site going, "MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU RED, KEEP ON KEEPIN' ON". MAY SLEEPYCOMICS (GOOD GIRL ART) LIVE FOREVER!!

As of right now, I have no intention of ever letting Sleepycomics.com end. This site is simply TOO good to let go.

Fear not people; Sleepycomics.com is in good hands right now. It's well funded and still going strong.

The problem you may have is becasue there are many scans here posted from comics that were once published material , under Copyright Laws US and International, the company that published those comics could legal threaten you or whomever is running your server to try and shut you down.

I'm not sure how legally you handle a repost of printed matter. Maybe give credit to the source? I know for a fact Yahoo and YouTube will often pull files down unannounced when the right person (Corporate Lawyers) comes a knocking

Don't loose the fetish Bro. Take break for while then come back. It works for me for the sites I manage

Well, I would not have much legal standing, especially against the likes of DC and Marvel. But they have bigger fish to fry, and I highly doubt they'll come after me. I'm not the source of their problems. And if a copyright holder did request I take down a scan, I'd comply (but this has NEVER happened).

The easiest way to prevent all this, is to keep Sleepycomics.com low key. Think of it as sort of "our little secret". Sleepycomics.com does not turn up frequently in Google searches either.

In the worst case scenario, I could always just move my site to another server. That's why backing up the images is so important.

Keeping it on the "DL"

Sounds like a plan
