I have always noticed that so many people who have our sleepy fetish recall, as they were growing up and noticing that KO scenes turned them on, that they thought that "I was the only one who had this fetish."

In contrast to the "lone wolf" attitude, I always figured that there were others out there who enjoyed seeing attractive females getting KOed, especially the comic book artists and writers who concocted the scenes that I loved so much. I just did not know how prevalent the fetish was within the wider society!

So, did any one else feel this way? That you were "one of many" who had a sleepy fetish?

It's a hard question to answer. I guess I never really cared if other people had this interest. I grew up in the Internet Age, so I discovered very quickly that other people around the world were into sleepy stuff. So there was never a point where I thought I was the only one.

I am a little like Red, but it is not that I did not care if other people had this interest, for me it was that I simply never thought about other people at all in this regard. For example, I like grits with runny eggs for breakfast, but I never ever thought about whether there were other people who liked their grits this way, or that others might think me strange for the way I like my grits. I simply knew what I liked and never occurred to me to consider if I was unique or "strange" in some way. Then in the early 80's I discovered Bill Black and his Americomics lineup. He gave me a terminology I had never heard of or used before. . . .he called it "Good Girl Art", and he even had editorials in many of his comic books in which he discussed it as an "art form". Honestly, I had never thought about it this way before . . . there actually was an authentic "art form" in the world, which had thousands of enthusiasts, and scores of creators and producers. Of course, I have known about pornography all my life, but I never considered any of Wonder Woman books -- or even the Fiction House books, for that matter, to be pornographic. Porn to me means two things: frontal nudity, and explicit sex acts on display. None of this was ever in Wonder Woman, or Sheena, or Rulah, or Batgirl, or any of DC, Marvel, Atlas, or any other of the mainline comic book producers.

Then one day, about 5 years ago I sold a GGA comic book on Ebay to a fellow in a north central mid-western state. When he mailed his check to me he included a note saying, "Sometimes I think I'm weird for buying this kind of comic book . . . Do you think there is something wrong with me?" I wrote back, "Heck no, 95% of the GGA comic books sold on Ebay are sold to people who have feelings just like you." I have never thought this passion was weird, and since I met Bill Black, I've been convinced thousands share it . . . "we are not alone. . . . indeed we are simply one of many". But truthfully, to me, it simply never occured to wonder about this until that Ebay buddy brought it up 5 years ago. And in addition, it is not porn, because there is no nudity.

I thought I was a lone wolf untill I had free access to the web. I've found thousands of images and video, so it was impossible I was the only one looking for them.
The international community for this fetish is really huge; what I really miss is a national community, I tried to create it but it was unsuccessfull, members were not commited at all.
