Bobko's recent posting (http://www.sleepycomics.com/show.php?id=6206) of an M. Hunt homage to Justice League V1 #54 (http://www.sleepycomics.com/show.php?id=2781) made me want to try my own hand at it.

This cover has the Queen and Jack of the Royal Flush Gang carrying a defeated Wonder Woman in an unusual two-person carry. I didn't like the way Wonder Woman's torso is oriented relative to her body in the original, so I tried for more of a natural curve there.

Anyway, here are the pencils if anyone is interested:

And here is the inked version:

I took the liberty of making some other corrections during inking, like making Wonder Woman's head slightly larger, and fixing the Queen's hair.

ANd here's a colored version:

This could use some embellishing, but it will do for now.

I've always this comic book cover. But these pics here are a definite improvement upon that. Boy, Wonder Woman is really limp in these and I love the expressions on her assailants' faces. They came after her and they've got her. Neat.

Thanks everyone for all the kind words.

Oldslim1: Yeah, I was happy how the Queen's face turned out, as drawing faces that are tilted up like that is tricky.

Oh, and FYI, the whole thing was done in Sketchbook Pro on my computer, with a Wacom Intuos 3 USB drawing tablet.
