One of the few scenes I remembered when I was still a kid.
Storm get's ko'd by her own lightning and faints and falls unconscious in the snow. Cyclops grabs her and carries her to safety. Some good unconscious panels of her. She faints some time later as well.
While Clea was not as kidnap/peril prone as many other girlfriends/spouses in the Marvel Universe (Mary Jane Watson, anyone?) , she could be kidnapped by evildoers along with the best of 'em. Here, the other-dimentional cutie is cruely chained up by Silver Dagger, and forced to listen to his origin story! Overwhelmed...
K Bar Kate is the unmarried daughter of a well-to-do rancher. She is not really a superheroine but she is the star of her series of stories in Western Crime Busters. In this episode a new hired hand turns out to be a little too "touchy-feely" for Kate, and he manhandles her but she fights him off. Later the baddie t...
A guy gives a girl something to make her believe she loves him. That is to be expected of the villain, but why did the hero wait 3 weeks to rescue her?
Senorita Rio, the cute Latin spy, gets ko'd, carried and dropped in the river by Nazi agents. The cover to this issue was infamous, cited by Fredrick Wertham as an indication that comics promoted de-sensatation to violence..judge for yourselves!

Shadow Lass, Princess Projectra and Shrinking Violet get captured by the Fatal Five, and transported to a strange alien world, along with Colossal Boy, Wildfire and Mon El. The art , while not exactly top-notch was better than Gerry Conway usually got during his famous run on the title.

Btw: those leather pants look awesome on Wonder Woman.
Wonder Woman in her new outfit is attacked in the desert by a couple of demons and is hit from behind. She first wakes up in a dream world and then is woken up for real.
Black Canary is touched by some woman's bare hands and is under some sort of trance after that and starts losing her mind. The others are captured. Batman then comes in and takes Canary into safety.
Sheena and Bob get captured , tied up and almost fed to a mound of man-eating (and, persumably, woman-eating) jungle ants....
It's interesting that the bad guys here are identified only as "Facists", rather than specificaly German or Japanese..even though the book appeared in 1943..that and the art style makes me think...
Sheena is nearly mauled to death by a dangerous jungle cat, but is saved at the last minute by a kindly doctor.
In a page from "The Hawk" in the same issue, Velvet, the ship's sexy first mate gets ko'd by a sneaky vagabond who plots to bring the ship to Japan (yeah, it was wartime, and if anyone is offended by peri...
