A group of young heroes try-out for the Legion. They all fail, including the beautiful Voice.
Others in the try-out group are Sonar, and... wait for it... Fruit Boy.
Series featuring Power Girl and Huntress (Helena Wayne) from Earth-Two.
One of my all-time favorite scenes ever. The artist is Yildiray Cinar (he's Turkish.) He did both the pencil and inks for this flashback story detailing one of Huntress' first outings as a crimefighter. He deserves the shout-out because the ...
It's Kim Sakai's birthday and what better present than to be kidnapped and replaced by the big baddie's evil daughter, Cerina! Crazy awesome handgag. But being the tough action girl she is, Kim breaks free and changes into Sliced Ice. She dodges the blue guy's missiles only to be taken out by a pylon on the pier. L...
Part of Marvel's Desert Storm, ahem, I mean Galactic Storm cross-series event in 92. I LOVE the look of the Wasp in this issue. Hands down, her BEST costume (pretty sure it debuted in this issue.) It's not often you can take black and orange and make it work but Jan pulls it off here. And the hair! AWESOME! I trie...
A 90s comic at its cheesiest! Released in the wake of the Jurassic Park craze, this annual introduces a new mutant superstar by the name of Raptor with the cover tagline "Raptor (small tm) Fowl Prey!" They really had high hopes for this one, so high in fact that in his first appearance in the comic, he gets a whole s...

It was one of the few episodes of the series released on VHS and I made my parents buy it for me along with the Titan of Terror VHS which had Sliced Ice's other KO and capture scene. Here, Kim Sakai (Sliced Ice) disguises herself as...
Nice artwork, especially when she hits the rock and slumping over in the seat of her Lawmaster.

Judge Anderson also gets knocked out in a previous chapter of this story (Judge Dredd the Megazine #380.)
What makes this scene unusual and why I really like it is that the bad guys are forced to employ two different knockout methods because Anderson is such a bada** and continues to fight and wipe the floor with th...
The 1989 LSH series was an abomination. Terrible art, gritty stories, unrecognisable characters. Here though, clones of the original Legion are found, and Projectra was KO'd.
A few issues later, she was killed off and I dropped the series.
