I have two sleepy items displayed in my house. Both can be conversation starters.
One is a work of fine art I first saw on a trip to Puerto Rico. I visited the art museum in Ponce and saw Flaming June http://www.amoeba.com/dynamic-images/blog/Eric_B/flaming_june.jpg
I obtained a full size copy of it and had it framed. At various times I have had it in both my living room and bedroom and many people offer a compliment when they see it. If I think the timing is right with a lady visitor, I may mention that the sight of a pretty lady asleep has always brought me pleasure. Whether to pursue the line of conversation any further depends on the reaction of the lady.
The other is a photo of me with a hypnotized woman taken during a hypnosis demonstration. She is in rigid catalepsy and suspended between chairs. It is also a conversation starter and may allow me to ask with a wink "Would you like me to show you how much fun it is to be hypnotized"?
