Since I live alone, I recently began hanging pictures of my artwork, some of which is related to the sleepy fetish. I'm also interested in printing out some sleepy comic scenes and hanging them around the place. Does anyone else do this sort of decorating?

I'm really suprised you're gonna do this since you always said that you were quite secretive of your fetish. Arent you afraid of it coming out when people like friends or family visit you? I could never do what you do. My home is completely designed by my sister because she really has an act for interior designing and I think it looks great. I'm no decorator but I do know what fits my room's style so the things I want to put into my room dont mess with the style and design.

But sleepy artwork in my room? Not my thing really, but maybe it fits your room.

But anyway its your room so you can do anything you want with it. The best style is your own style.

Actually, the reason I can do it is because (like I said), I live alone and almost no one ever visits my apartment.

I just enjoy expressing myself and hanging sleepy artwork around my place will make it feel more like home.

Well in reference to your other thread... There will be no reason to tell the girls anymore about your fetish once you take them home. Your room will speak for itself!

You would be wise not to decorate your home as you describe for a number of reasons:

1 If any service (gas/electric/fire etc) demand compulsory admittance to your flat you don't know who you might get reported to.

2 If you do get reported you could be accused of all sorts of infamy.

3 If anyone has other legitimate need to come into your home the same applies, including (we hope not) medics.

4 You could become a recluse for fear of people seeing your decor - and recluses (quite wrongly) are categorized as being sexual predators. The very act of becoming a recluse invites suspicion. If a child went missing in your area you could be a suspect simply on the basis of being a recluse.

As I've said in another forum, sleepy art is not pornographic . . . it has no frontal nudity and no explicit sex -- the stuff porn is made of. In fact 99% of sleepy art has no nudity at all. While I can see some reasons for not displaying this art in one's home, (with the possible exception of some of the pics we call "pinups"), fear of being seen as a lover of porn is not one of those reasons. Of course, sleepy scenes (chloro, bondage, unconscious carries) could cause some prudish and/or skittish people to raise an eyebrow or two. But you say no one ever comes to your home (I wouldn't worry about meter men and repair men, they see lots of more scandalous stuff in their line of work so with them you have little cause for concern). Also, since you clearly will know such art is on display in your home, you will be able to prepare anyone you invite inside for what they may see. It could be a great way to come out in the open about your interests. After all, there are people in this world who have real porn on their walls, my brother is one of them, and some who see it just say, "Oh well, that's 'Bro' for you", while others say, "Cool!". Sleepy art might make a wife jealous, or a daughter perplexed, but most friends and strangers aren't likely to care one way of another. I would, however, be cautious about bringing a new "love interest" into your pad to see it, could make her nervous or worse repulsed. Later on, after your relationship is strong you could mention it to her and see how she reacts. If she is repulsed, I would keep it under wraps as long as possible. Just my opiniion, of course. We do live in a world where the prevailing philosophy about sexual things is: "whatever turns you on is OK". I disagree with that principle, but I may be in the minority in today's "anything goes" culture. (I see no place at all for extreme pornography, or child porn, but that's just me, of course). With these words of caution, I'd go ahead if I were you.

Yeah, right now I'm not hanging anything totally BAD. At most, people will just go: "oh. That's weird", and move on. I've had artwork printed at CVS where the technician surely sees it; no one cares though. It's almost surprising how little anyone cares about my fetish. At times, I almost WISHED people would notice.

I admire your openness ... although I wonder WHY you almost wish people would take notice? And what are people supposed to do or say to indicate they've "taken notice?" If they don't share the fetish, they're probably not going to say anything you want to hear. I mean, what do you have to say to people who have fetishes you're not into?
