Darn photobucket account, my bandwith exceeded again. You guys can wait until March 12th right?

So I read a comic called X-Men: God Loves Man Kills for my comic book class. Normally I don't find comics interesting, but this one was really good. It tackled big themes yet kept me entertained. What's cool is that Kitty Pryde is almost gassed, but not quite. There is also a scene where Illyana gets knocked out and carried. I really recommend this graphic novel, it is just top notch.

Next week we are going to talk about "women in comics". It is going to be a fun week.

I added four scenes to "Assorted" and modified the "Unknown" page. I created a seperate section for doujinshis only. Doujinshi seems to be the only form of comic that consistently turns up chloroform scenes.

In other non-sleepy related news, I installed Ubuntu Linux onto my laptop. I can now run Windows or Linux whenever I want. It's a pretty impressive operating system. I had no trouble learning how to use it. I can do everything except sync  my iPod with iTunes, which is no big deal. The next few weeks are going to be fun as I learn all the little things Linux can do.

I added a couple scenes to "Assorted". Haven't found much recently.

Man I love my comic book class. Our topic this week is "sex in comics". We had to read this ridiculous study from the 50's that was about how comics influenced the sexual behavior of children. It's kind of disturbing, but I saw parallels in it with my own life. The truth is I very much have an addiction to this fascination. No matter how many scenes I find, I don't think my craving will ever be fulfilled.

Anyway, the first thing the professor showed us was an image of Wonder Woman. He asked us what we thought about it and I said the first thing that came to my mind: "she's hot." That caused some laughter. The teacher pointed at her bracelets and asked us what the symbolism behind it was. I mentioned that it had to do with "chains" and how if a male bound her bracelets together she would be helpless. Then the professor says "exactly" and he talks about bondage. On the projector is an image of Wonder Woman being tied up; when was the last time I could go into a classroom and see bondage?! I didn't want to give away too much about myself, for the other people might think I am some sex maniac.

But I think my secret's safe. I practically have all my information on the internet and no one has found out who I am.  I don't even try to hide it anymore. I don't clear my history as often because no one really suspects anything. I'm actually kind of surprised that after 8 months, not a single person in my life has discovered this website. I have a feeling that soon the secret will be out, but I think by then I will be ready.

What else is going on in my life? I got a video game called Advance Wars. I also acquired Anberlin's new album "Cities" and it is like incredible. Oh and I wish you Windows users could see my Linux desktop because it is just sooo tight. I have barely used Windows at all since I switched last week.

I don't think I've mentioned this website before. There is a great site called Golden Age Comics Downloads that lets you download free comics. This is basically my source for all those classic Golden Age knockouts. Some series' have knockouts in nearly every issue. It's quite an incredible resource, with hundreds of old comics. If you have nothing to do, you can check out that site. If you find a good scene, tell me the issue or send me the scan. Comics that I've already looked through will have a comment written by "prgram" or "redchina". I'm thinking we could make this into a massive distributed searching effort. I am certain there are hidden gems to be found on that site.

I also updated the gas and assorted databases AGAIN. Out of 132 comics I found 2 sleeping gas scenes. Those odds are better than usual. I estimate that if you search 250 completely random comics, you should find one gas scene. For a chloroforming, probably 2000. A decent head KO or general knockout can occur in 1 out of 50 comics. Those numbers are probably dead wrong. One thing is for sure, and that is chloroformings are RARE.

I while back I posted in my FAQ the standards to which I find a KO scene acceptable. I'm going to repeat them in this post. Keep this in mind when you send a scene alert:

1. Chloroform: I will accept ANY chloroform scene. Chloroform scenes are so rare, I don't care who the victim is, I just want to see a scene.

2. Sleeping Gas: victim(s) must be female. There must be evidence that she is fully unconscious. F/M scenes may also be accepted. Scenes should last more than one panel.

3. Head KO: the sleeper has to be female, and I don't think there is any exception to this rule. There must be a follow up panel showing the girl either asleep, waking up, or restrained. One panel scenes are too common and strongly discouraged.

4. Injections/Dart/Other: same rule as above. I generally prefer scenes that last 2 panels or more.

These are the rules I tend to follow now. I've been more lenient in the past, but my standards have risen. That's all I have to say for now.

I made a huge breakthrough in finally getting a real MySQL database running. This is the biggest database format change since I switched from plain HTML to a flat text file. I wanted to do this months ago, but I could not setup the database correctly. I recently realized that it was because of a very stupid error (I was missing a comma somewhere). Let me tell you some of the new benefits of having a MySQL sleepy database:

1. Instead of having 3 seperate databases (gas, chloro and assorted), everything is now in one giant list.

2. More importantly, for you guys, it's now possible to do a full search of the database.

3. Originally, in order to sort the table you needed Javascript. Now the sorting takes place on the server, so you don't have to worry about your computer settings. Some pages still use the Javascript library though.

There's still a lot I want to add. My database homepage is kind of bare right now. I also have a new page that lists all the recently added scenes. So yeah, that's my new site. If you have any ideas for things I could add tell me.

In other news, I went to see the movie '300' on Sunday. It was a pretty good action flick; I give it an 8/10.

I have to write a paper for my comic book class about a specific superhero. You guys have any suggestions on who I should write it on? I kind of want to write it about a superheroine.

I FINALLY updated the video clips page. I added 5 chloroform and 3 gas scenes. I've been meaning to update the clips page for a while, but I was lazy. I also found screen caps for Ran Mouri's chloroforming in Detective Conan episode 219. I have the corresponding manga scene as well. Detective Conan should get an award for most chloroformings in an anime series or something; that show is an incredible KO-fest.

So I was browsing the comicbookheroineKOs yahoo group and I found some pretty good stuff. 90% of that stuff was taken from my site, but there was some new material I have never seen before. His Doom Patrol folder really surprised me. I had never seen any of those gassings before. If someone knows what issue those scenes came from I could index them. Elasti-girl was the only one who got KO'd.

I also noticed that I never indexed the KO's that were on Grimbor's website, so I did that today.

I'm starting to give more scenes a 5 star rating. I used to give it exclusively to chloroformings, gassings and injections, but now I am giving more head KO's 5 stars. My rating system is kind of flawed but I'm not sure how to fix it. I was thinking about developing a system where you guys could individually rate scenes. That could get complicated though, because I would have to introduce a registration system and that would just blow.

UPDATE: Okay, I figured out where that Elasti-girl scene is from. It's in Doom Patrol #99, and I already added it to the database. I added a whole bunch of new scenes to the database. I'm not going to list them all here; just visit the recently added page to see the newest sleepy scenes.

Guess what movie someone posted on YouTube? It was Ex-Driver the Movie; someone sent me an alert saying this anime had a chloroform scene in it. I checked out the video on YouTube, hoping I could catch the scene. And of course, the scene was missing. In fact, the uploader completely cut out the kidnapping sequence. WHY!?!?!?! OUT OF ALL THE FUCKING SCENES HE COULD HAVE LEFT OUT, HE HAD TO LEAVE OUT THE FUCKING CHLOROFORM SCENE!! It pisses me off so much. Now it's going to take literally forever to obtain that scene. It's probably not that good anyway.

Notice how I added more clips to the site. In a short while I should add some more clips. I'm not going to say when new clips will appear because then people will be expecting too much. The most popular clips are the chloros, with Hareluya II Boy, YuGiOh, City Hunter and Cat's Eye being the most downloaded.

If you check out Pofoz's Page, you will notice he has mirrored my sleepy database. It was his idea and I don't really have a problem with it. I want more people in the DID community to know about my site. Yesterday I had 768 unique visitors, which is the most ever.

I just uploaded a scene from Detective Conan episode 219 where Ran Mouri gets chloroformed. It corresponds to Detective Conan volume 30. The correlation between the manga and anime is astounding. It's a great scene, so you need to check it out!

I added two more clips. This time they are from ex-Driver The Movie. One involves Angela and a boy getting chloroformed. Another involves Nina getting gassed by me...I mean, some creepy dude. I think I like the gassing clip better because we get some nice sleepy shots of Nina.

More "Outsider" Perspective

Oooooh, look what I found! Some more outsiders found my site. Actually they found my comicspace profile (which I NEVER update because that site is stupid). Anyway they were talking about how sick I was. Yeah, bring it on motherfuckers, I love the fame. "There's a lot of sick people out there." Oh man, I am loving this. How did they find my site anyway? What did they search for, "chloroformed girls"? (I know, I've used that joke before). "Sign of the apocalypse."

I don't know about you, but I actually enjoy reading what "non-enthusiasts" think about my site.

I just uploaded a clip from Striperella S1E9, thanks to an alert. I am now hosting a total of 62 video clips. So far this month I have used 34.6 GB of bandwith just for video clips. My photobucket account is seriously about to die, so I'm still working on getting rid of my dependency on it. Currently there are 1187 scans hosted on photobucket and 777 on imageshack. I want to reduce photobucket until it is at about 50% of my total scans, but even then it can still cause problems.
It's absolutely ridiculous just how much data is being transferred for this site.

More scenes have been added. I found a couple good dart scenes, one coming from an issue of "New DNAgents". DNAgents had almost zero KO scenes. Also went through some old Flash Gordon panels and found a ton of goodies. Sleeping gas seems to play a big role in many Flash Gordon stories, and that weakling Dale Arden is unconscious 90% of the time.

So in the last 10 days I have uploaded 66 scenes.




For my paper I decided to do Black Canary. Coincidentially, another girl in the class is also doing Black Canary. Other than that everyone else is writing on a male superhero. God, wouldn't it be hilarious if someone in this class discovered this website? I imagine it's not that hard to find, I mean I pretty much don't hide anything. It'd be interesting to see the reaction.

I was recently alerted to yet another Detective Conan chloroforming! This one was kind of short. It's from episode 452. The total chloroforming count is 5 for Detective Conan. If you include two episodes where there was a still shot of a woman getting chloroformed, the total is 7.
But hey, what do you expect from a kid's detective show that is nearing 500 episodes? Seriously, haven't the writers run out of mystery ideas yet? They need to make an episode where all the female characters are just chloroformed for the hell of it. That would be hilarious.

Guys, I have some bad news. I can't update this site anymore. The U.S. Government sent me an e-mail demanding that I remove all content from this site. It is part of their crackdown on websites dealing with pornographic content. Even though I have tried to keep this site clean, I am part of their anti-porn campaign.
So to avoid getting subpoenaed, I will have to shutdown this site. In 24 hours all the photos and clips will be removed. Save whatever you want quickly.
I enjoyed working on this site so much, but I guess good things never last forever. Goodbye my friends, and I hope I can come back sometime in the future. It's been fun.
