This Site Has Gone to Oblivion

Jul 08, 2007 10:34 AM | 4
A few days ago I added some KO scenes to the database. If you like Sheena Queen of the Jungle, and you like dart scenes, check out this scene. Also, by some considerable luck, I uncovered a chloroform scene from a manga called Blood Hound.

Let's see, what else happened. I was driving past a garden shop when I noticed a sign that said "Knockout Roses for Sale". It made me think about Kodachi from Ranma 1/2, and a whole bunch of other scenes where women were knocked out with roses. I'd love to buy some knockout roses.

I saw Pixar's movie "Ratatouille" last week. No sleepy scenes to report, but if you like seeing dudes get tied up there is a random bondage scene that is supposed to be "funny".

You may be wondering why I am not updating this site as often. It probably has something to do with the fact that I just purchased a video game called "Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" for my Xbox 360. Yesterday I played this RPG for about 8 hours, it is sooooooo good. This game is more addicting than Civilization III. If anyone knows what I am talking about, they will probably understand the situation I am in. Until I get sick of this game, site updates will happen less frequently. I need more quality comic scene alerts.

I just added four scenes to the database. Man, there is like nothing out there in the comic world. I was doing really good a few weeks ago, but now I am struggling to find anything worth keeping. So far, I have 1239 comic scenes of women getting knocked out, not bad.

I am quite aware that there is a whole genre I am missing out on: manga. Manga is something I rarely look into mostly because it's so difficult to search them. Manga seems to have fewer KO scenes, but when there IS a KO scene it is really really good. I am not sure if this site's audience reads manga, because it would be nice if I could get some good manga alerts every once in a while.

I updated the video clips section (*SHOCK*...NO WAY!!!). Someone sent me a link to this clip (it was on a silly hentai site). It's a pretty good clip so I am now hosting it on this site. The thing with video clips is that I am just not in the mood to make them right now. Sometimes I'll have a big video making rush, but currently I am just not into it at all.

Every once in a while, I like to search for "chloroform" on deviantart. I found this drawing recently.

I'm currently 52 hours into Oblivion. Probably going to play some more tonight. I found out a fan of this website also plays Oblivion.

Now time for some off topic blogging, because well, this is my only blog right now. Last Wednesday I went out with some friends (yes, incredibly I have friends in real life) to the bowling alley at night. The bowling alley is more like a club at night, with loud rap music and a dance floor. The funny thing is all of us guys would walk into the dance floor hoping to dance with a girl, only to end up standing around looking like complete dorks. We are all single and desperate, let me tell you. All of them left, but I decided to stay at the dance floor for a little longer. Eventually a random girl came up and started dancing with me, for like a minute.
One of my friends has his own apartment, so we all went there after bowling. Out came the alcohol; I had something called "Mike's Hard Lemonade". We sat around and talked while one of us played Kingdom Hearts II. It's moments like these that make me glad I have great friends.

I am about to go on a huge comic rush to find more content for this site. I have been so lazy lately and it's causing the view count to drop significantly in recent days. I've gotten several content submissions and cherry picked the worthy ones to be included in the GODLY database. Sometimes I think I've set standards too high, letting smaller scenes slip through the cracks. I don't want the database to be polluted with garbage; I want quality sleepy scenes, that is all.

Another lucky find today, this one from Detective Conan volume 45. It's another tranquilizer dart scene featuring the character Sonoko. I found this after RANDOMLY downloading a Detective Conan scanlation. I had no premeditated plan, it was completely by chance.

Wow, I get excited seeing a 15 year old girl get drugged by a tranquilizer dart, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME??!?! There are some issues with my life that I need to get sorted out...in the mean time, I will just enjoy....yes, ENJOY seeing Sonoko get put to sleep with a drugged needle.

I hate it when someone else uses my computer. You see, it's gotten to the point where I don't clear my history or my cache, I leave scanned comic JPEGS lying all over the place, there is an entry in the Firefox address bar for "www.sleepycomics.com" just sitting there BLATANTLY. There's about 4.5 gigabytes of sleepy material stuffed away in an obscure folder on my hard disk. I don't like it when a someone else needs to use my computer, because I could be exposed so easily.
Incredibly, no one has discovered my passion even after leaving all this evidence strewn around. I think one day everyone I know will find out I run this site, but by then I probably won't care. It's so much work trying to keep my fascination a secret. I guess starting a website was the last thing I should have done.

Alright well, that ends my rant. Time to go look for more pictures of girls getting drugged because it's FUN!

One Year Later: The Evolution of Sleepy Comics

Jul 21, 2007 08:02 AM | 6
Hard to believe it's been more than a year since I launched Sleepy Comics. For one year I've been modifying the site layout, trying to perfect it. I think the last time I changed the site was in April. Back then I actually thought my site looked amazing. Yesterday I finally learned how to use the "div" tag, and things haven't been the same ever since. I think this new look is very cutting edge, kind of like the transition from Windows XP to Vista. The color scheme was changed to make everything more black. The logo is a bigger version of the Black Cat knockout scene and it's now in the background with some nice transparent effects.
For the most part, all the content is exactly where it was before the change.

Here are screenshots of what my site looked like in the past, to give you an idea of just how much it has changed.

I designed this new layout to look the best in the Firefox web browser. There is a link to the download site in my navigation sidebar.
Please leave some comments on the new look.

Black Canary #2 (2007)

Jul 22, 2007 07:27 PM | 0
One of my best finds recently came from the new Black Canary mini-series. You can see a picture of the cover on the left. This artist had a really nice interpretation of Black Canary, I hope he continues to draw her. If you look carefully at the position she is in, you will start to realize that it's probably impossible to do in real life. How does she not fall over? It's a hot cover though, so I can't complain.
I really hope the writer continues working on more Black Canary stories, because this issue had a sleeping gas scene involving Sin, the girl Black Canary took in. The villain used a knockout gas arrow in a tribute to those old 70's Green Arrow stories.  There's only two more issues to go, so the prospect of a Black Canary knockout scene is very slim. In fact, Black Canary doesn't seem to be feature much at all.

I did some more remodelling to the site. You will notice some changes to the navigation bar. The section called "Other Pages" has been removed, along with most of the links under it. Those pages called "Unknown Comics, Doujinshi, Diabolik and Screen shots" have been moved to the Image Gallery. I also organized those galleries to be much more neat.

There are a bunch of other new scenes added to the database, so check those out too.

Sonoko was Drugged...A Lot

Jul 24, 2007 08:52 PM | 3
I updated the database today! Before I go into detail about the updates, there is an important matter that needs to be addressed: Donations. The last donation I recieved was in February, a generous donation from Monsieur Paul. That was five months ago. I think the best way for you, the viewer, to show support for this massive project is to donate. If any of you use eBay, you are ready to go because all you need is a PayPal account. There is a PayPal link on the navigation bar. It doesn't have to be a big donation, even something like one dollar would suffice. That way I can use it to buy myself a double cheeseburger if I am hungry. I also paid Photobucket a silly $25 fee to get a Pro account, so I will have unlimited bandwith. Imagine not being able to view half the database at the end of the month, man that would suck balls. Plus imageshack really really really sucks. Maybe if I earn enough money, I can get Lasik eye surgery, because looking at all these comics puts a strain on my eyes. If I see some donations, it will motivate me to work even harder to find KO scenes. And believe me, I have found some amazing stuff lately. So show some support. Thanks.

Another thing you can do is download Firefox (see the link on the side bar). Yeah, this site, um, looks better in it.

Alright, so I went through the ENTIRE Detective Conan manga series and posted all my finds. You'd think there would be a ton of KO scenes, but there are actually very few. Conan almost always hits Ran's dad with a tranquilizer dart instead of Ran Mouri herself. In fact, Ran Mouri was NEVER darted once. Sonoko was put to sleep several times, and those scenes are pretty good. So basically, the Detective Conan scenes that are on my site are the best ones you'll ever see.

I looked through a comic called "Amethyst Princess of Gemworld". Found an interesting drugged drink scene in that.

I added some old pictures to the image gallery. The new system I setup for the image gallery makes it really easy for me to add new images, so expect to see more updates in that section.

I don't think I've mentioned this yet, but I split the "assorted knockouts" database into two sections. There is now a new section called "Head KO's". Both databases should take less time to load now.

Well, that's all for now. Donations are welcome.

Registration is Now Open

Jul 27, 2007 08:17 PM | 3
Okay, I did a lot of remodification again. I apologize if things seem buggy. I am way too obsessed with HTML and CSS. I wanted to make the site look good in FireFox and IE, but that is tough. I hope I did a good job.

Anyway, I am reintegrating Wordpress functions into this blog again. I thought stripping the blog to its bare essentials would be a good idea, but I was wrong. Basically, you the viewer can register for an account on my blog, allowing you to post comments more easily. I encourage all my visitors to register, because once you are logged in you don't have to keep typing in your nickname to post a comment. This is the first time I have enabled registration.

I updated the image galleries, but that's been it so far. That's all for now.

EDIT: One more thing I forgot to mention. If you are registered, your comments will not be moderated. They will appear immediately.

New Image Gallery

Jul 28, 2007 11:57 AM | 4
I opened a new section in the Image Gallery. It's basically a bunch of images of hot comic book superheroines. From now on if I find an image of a really hot girl  in a comic, I will put it in that gallery. It should be a fun diversion from sleepy scenes.

I've gotten a bunch of registrations so far. Again, I encourage registration because it allows you to freely post comments.  From now on in order to post a comment you must be a registered user. Comments are not moderated anymore either.

Southern Knights; Simpson's Movie

Jul 29, 2007 11:07 AM | 2
I found a really good gas KO in a comic called "Southern Knights", issue 7. It features two damsels and there is some minor bondage as well. It's the best scene in my recent update batch.

On Saturday I went to see The Simpson's Movie. I had low expectations, because The Simpsons have sort of gone downhill recently. The movie however, was actually really funny. What's even more interesting is that there is a sleeping gas scene in the movie! That was something I totally did not expect.

I did not know that my scene alert form was down for the past few weeks. Anyway, I fixed the problem and you should be able to send alerts.

User registration is up to 18 now. Keep registering; it's free and all you need is an email address.

Here is an interesting statistic. I have currently indexed 1270 scenes. At around September 15, 2006 I had close to 500 scenes. That means in about 314 days, I indexed 770 scenes, which averages to 2.45 scenes PER DAY. And I'm still 20 scenes behind the Slumberville database.

Hot Scene from Witchblade; Namora Gets Chloroformed

Jul 31, 2007 06:14 PM | 4
I got another cool update. First up is this really hot F/F head KO from Witchblade #109. I haven't found an F/F KO in so long. This scene was a rare beauty, so good that I gave it five stars. There's a good pass out and wake up scene.

One more chloroform scene has been found folks! In Marvel Mystery Comics #82, Namora's first appearance I believe, Namora gets chloroformed. I totally did not expect it. I don't like how they drew Namora though (blame it on the 1950's art style I guess). The artists make Namora look like an old lady.

There are some new images in the image gallery.

Someone sent me a crapload of video alerts, mostly hypnosis scenes. I am not a big fan of hypnosis scenes, but if any of you like them, here is a list of Youtube links:

I also got some interesting video clips and those will be up soon. Youtube is cracking down on Anime clips so watch those while you still can.

In some off topic news: my brother got a new laptop; we are almost done remodelling our living room; I plan on going to the Warped Tour this Thursday; and my brother is getting his wisdom teeth extracted on Friday (ouch).
Ohio Visitors

Here's an interesting map I saw on my Google Analytics page. It's a map of all the cities in Ohio that have at least one visitor to Sleepy Comics. Hudson has a REALLY big fan. In case some of you didn't know, I actually live in Ohio, so it's really cool to see so many people from Ohio visiting my site. The only states to have more visitors are California and New York.

I currently have about 33 registrations so far. I want all my fans from Ohio to register and leave a comment. Come on Ohioans, show some love!
