Have I lost my way? That is the topic of today's post. It seems that recently I have started posting more bondage-only scenes. This site is beginning to move in the direction of encompassing not just knockout scenes, but bondage scenes in general. Let me assure you though, that sleepy scenes have ALWAYS taken priority and I will never stop posting them.

I want to take this time to remind my guests what the original goal of Sleepy Comics was and how that goal has changed over time. When I created the Sleepy Comics database it's purpose was to manage my personal collection. I wasn't doing this for Slumberville or c3c; I was doing this for myself. I was discovering so many sleepy scenes that I needed a way to manage all my finds. Imagine a fully searchable database of sleepy scenes that can be accessed anywhere, anytime. Furthermore, why not share this database with the entire world? That was my vision.

Over time, my tastes changed. If any of you remember the initial database, it contained only chloroform, gas and injection scenes. That was it. I didn't care for head KO's or even unconscious covers. Slowly, I began to adopt other KO methods into my database. I began to appreciate the beauty of a nice head KO. Later on, I started seeing the value of bondage scenes in conjunction with KO scenes. I discovered that they make a great pair, and I made it my duty to include the full scene in my database. So in a sense, I really haven't lost my original vision; I broadened it.

I don't have much more to say on the subject, so I'll leave it at this: Sleepy scenes and bondage scenes are mutual, and it is a necessary bond to make this website truly successful.

Your user profiles are now more customizable. Goto "My Profile" in the top navigation bar and it will take you to a page where you can edit your profile.

Things you can edit are your display name, avatar, signature and password. Your avatar can be any 50x50 pixel jpeg. I provided about 20 avatars, but you can link to any image offsite. So go ahead and personalize your profile!

I created another page that shows a "profile" for active users. First, on the sidebar you will notice a list of active users. These are people who have left at least three comments on a scene. If you add comments your username will show up on that list. Clicking on a username wil take you to that user's profile, where you can see his/her favorite scenes, comments and ratings. It's a cool little feature that might give people incentive to participate more.

Jackpot! My venture into Dutch comics has proven very fruitful. I recently looked into a comic called "Franka" and found tons of great knockout scenes.

My latest research led me to a comic series called "Agent 327". It's a comedic spy series with a sexy side character called Olga Lawina. Olga is knocked out numerous times in the series, including one injection and one gas scene. The injection scene is my favorite, and I was very very excited at finding it. I nearly got a heart attack when I saw it! Then I just kept turning up amazing head KO's. It was like a dream. And now all my finds are posted on this site for you to see. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

If anyone here knows of any good Dutch or other European comics to look at, let me know!

Alright time for another blog update. We are at 3,124 records in the database. The last few days have been amazing. First I went through "Agent 327" and found a ton of amazing KO's. I thought I had seen everything. Then I found two chloroform scenes from Mandrake the Magician, a comic which is all about chloroform it seems. Someone also sent a chloro scene from Thrilling Comics #32, a nice golden age scene.

Next I looked at a comic from the creators of "Natacha", our favorite sexy air hostess. Turns out there is a scene where a bunch of naked girls are gassed. What an incredible find. I researched into a comic called "Rubine", also from the creators of Natacha but it was a huge disappointment. In the end, I just looked through some more issues of Natacha to see if I was missing anything. Turns out I was.

Just today I found a bunch of KO scenes in "Aria", another European comic featuring a strong female protagonist. That pretty much equates to numerous KO scenes. My investment paid off! Good Lord, if this girl gets KO'd anymore times she will become Mary Marvel. These scenes will be added soon.

I've also begun looking at video clips again. I have someone helping me locate clips. But I am so busy looking through comics that I don't even have time for clips! I wish I had more time.

My latest venture is further proof we are only seeing the tip of the iceburg.

Occasionally, I come across some forum that makes mention of this site in a negative way. This has happened like three times ever. Instead of ignoring it, or shunning it, I LOVE hearing about what people think about me and this site, especially someone "outside the circle". It's usually the mantra of "OMG, this person is a sick human being." Hurtful, I know.
Anyway, at Comic Book Resources, a user started a topic about superheroines getting overpowered in comics. He talked about how there is a group of people out there who enjoy seeing it. Here is the thread:

Interesting discussion, but the general consensus is that people really don't give a rat's ass. This guy's trying to stir up some controversy or whatever. He posts a link to sleepycomics.com as an example of this phenomenon (what other example is there though? Sleepycomics.com is pretty much THE site). I hope some of the newbies take a look at my collection and realize that images of Wonder Woman and Black Canary getting knocked out is probably one of mankind's better creations.

In what will probably be the last great European comic post, I just finished uploading all my finds from the Belgian comic Kiekeboe. This comic has over 116 volumes and I went through all of them. It really delivered in terms of KO and bondage scenes. The main damsel is a girl named Fanny. She is bound and gagged numerous times in this comic.

I was a little disappointed because I felt there could have been so much more in terms of KO scenes. It turns out this comic is filled with male KO scenes, which are a complete turn off. There are lots of head KOs and gas scenes, but they all involve dudes. DUDE! However, due to the magnitude of this comic, they still managed to sneak in a few Fanny KO scenes, including a semi-Chloroform scene which is really good. She gets hit once with a tranq dart, she is gassed, she is head KO'd, she faints a lot.

Overall, this was a really nice haul. I don't know what I will do next. If anyone has suggestions for comics I should research, feel free to leave a comment.
